Facebook Local (also called Events from Facebook) is an application made to be used as a complement for this well-known social network, informing you about interesting events going on around you. These events will be recommended to you based on friends who are going or your own interests.
Once you've installed the application, you'll need to enter your Facebook data and, after that, select your preferences so the application knows what kinds of events to recommend. Some categories include shopping, art and cinema, health and food, etc. After that, you will receive notifications for the events that are most relevant to your interests according to the application's algorithms.
Although the main menu only shows events that your friends are going to, you can also search freely for other events happening nearby. All of this information will be organized on the associated calendar, which will also be linked to the information saved on Facebook itself.
